Terms of Service
These terms apply whenever you use teamstoshowsignal.com, the Basketball Shot Lab and the lab modules. They are written to be read — please take a few minutes.
1. About us and these terms
The site is operated by Teamstoshowsignal Ltd, registered in England & Wales (Company No. 15937284), Unit 12, Baseline Works, 48 Forge Lane, Leeds LS1 4PQ. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. The service
The Shot Lab is a free, browser-based physics simulation and educational resource. It runs entirely on your device; no account is needed. We may improve, change or temporarily suspend any part of the site, and we do not guarantee it will always be available or error-free.
3. Acceptable use
You may use the site for personal, coaching and educational purposes. You must not:
- attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or its infrastructure;
- use automated tools to scrape or copy substantial parts of the content;
- reproduce, resell or rebrand the Shot Lab or lab modules as your own product;
- use the site in any way that breaks the law or infringes the rights of others.
Teachers and coaches are welcome to display the Shot Lab in class or training sessions and to quote short extracts from the modules with attribution to teamstoshowsignal.com.
4. Intellectual property
The site's code, design, text, diagrams and the Teamstoshowsignal name and logo belong to Teamstoshowsignal Ltd or our licensors. The underlying laws of physics, of course, belong to everyone. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of our intellectual property to you.
5. Accuracy and educational purpose
The simulator uses simplified models of drag, rim and backboard contact. Constants such as restitution coefficients are representative values, not measurements of any particular court or ball. Results are intended for learning and entertainment and may differ from real-world shooting.
Training suggestions in the modules are general guidance, not personalised coaching or medical advice. Warm up properly and stop any physical practice that causes pain.
6. External links
Where we link to other websites, we do so for information only. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
7. Our liability
The site is provided free of charge "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data stored in your browser. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under English law. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected.
8. Privacy and storage
How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy, and our use of local storage in the Cookie Policy.
9. Changes, governing law and contact
We may update these terms; the date above shows when they last changed, and continued use means you accept the updated version. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, although consumers living elsewhere in the UK may bring proceedings in their local courts.
