Privacy Policy
The Shot Lab is designed to work without knowing who you are. This policy explains the small amount of personal data we do handle, why, and the rights you have over it.
1. Who we are
Teamstoshowsignal Ltd ("we", "us") operates teamstoshowsignal.com and is the data controller for personal data processed through it. We are a company registered in England & Wales (Company No. 15937284) with our registered office at Unit 12, Baseline Works, 48 Forge Lane, Leeds LS1 4PQ, United Kingdom.
For any privacy matter, email [email protected] with "Privacy" in the subject line.
2. Data we collect
- Contact messages. If you email us or use the contact form (which opens your email app), we receive your name, email address, chosen topic and message, plus anything else you include.
- Technical server logs. Like any website host, our hosting provider may briefly record IP addresses, browser type and requested pages to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
- Aggregated analytics. Only if you consent, we may measure non-identifying usage statistics. See the Cookie Policy.
We do not require accounts, and we do not collect payment details, precise location or special category data.
3. Shot data on your device
All Shot Lab calculations run in your browser. Your attempts, makes, shot chart and log are held in memory and, if you allow functional storage, saved in your browser's local storage. This data is never sent to us. You can delete it at any time with the Reset Session button, by withdrawing functional consent, or by clearing your browser data.
4. Lawful bases
| Purpose | Lawful basis (UK GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Replying to your messages | Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) in responding to enquiries |
| Operating and securing the website | Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Functional storage and analytics | Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), withdrawable at any time |
| Keeping records required by law | Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) |
5. Sharing and international transfers
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the site — such as our web host and email provider — under contracts that require them to protect it and use it only on our instructions, or where the law requires us to.
If a provider processes data outside the UK, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the ICO's International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum to keep it protected.
6. Retention
- Contact correspondence: up to 24 months after our last exchange, then deleted.
- Server logs: typically no longer than 30 days, unless needed to investigate abuse.
- On-device storage: until you clear it (we cannot access or delete it remotely).
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your personal data, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. We will respond within one month. Contact us at [email protected] or via our contact page.
8. Children
The Shot Lab is suitable for all ages and collects no personal data during play. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 through our contact channels; if you believe a child has sent us personal data, please tell us and we will delete it.
9. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and access to our mailbox is limited to staff who need it and protected with multi-factor authentication. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data.
10. Changes and complaints
We may update this policy from time to time; the date above shows the latest version. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
